December Updates

ASTIG Concert

“ASTIG” (toughie) for Christ, ECBC's new youth believers, held their concert last December 14, 2007 at the ECBC sanctuary. The concert featured the youth’s new believers praise and worship team “ASTIG” as well as the church’s junior praise and worship band “The SEED.”

There were also performances by the senior praise and worship team, Pastor Ulysses, Ate Arla , Kuya George and an interpretative dance number from Ate Love and her friends.

The guest speaker for the concert was Pastor Jonel Rubio who shared a powerful message on Christian living for the youth.

The church’s Women Missionary Union provided the food for the concert.

The Astigs with Kuya George, the Praise and Worship Leader and band techer with husband and wife Ate Joy and Kuya Noel, together with Kuya Sam, are the ASTIG's mentors and teacher.

The "SEED" with Kuya George, Ate Joy (she's making faces again!) and Kuya Noel, the SEED's mentors.

The Organizers Kuya Sam and the "Gimpers" , ECBC's youth organization. Kuya Sam together with Ate Paz is the Husaband and wife youth ministers of ECBC.

ECBC Visits Doulos

ECBC Sunday School teachers visited the floating bookstore M/V Doulos on December 8, 2007. The teachers, mostly from the children’s department, were given a tour by the crew of the ship. After the tour they then went to the bookstore to look for Sunday school materials. The publicity for the ship’s docking at Manila Bay was, unfortunately, overshadowed by the Hotel Peninsula take over led by Senator Trillanes.

thanks for this update. My heart warms as I read and learn how God is using people in our church. Praise the Lord indeed!
